3D/2N Rinjani Trekking Sembalun Crater rim, Summit, Lake and Hot Spring
Trek Overview
This program tour packages will spend three days and two nights exploring the main spot of Rinjani including the Mount Rinjani Crater Lake, starting point from Sembalun and will finish at the same way down to Sembalun village. On the first day you will ascend up Sembalun Crater rim with approximately time 8 hours (overnight), and on the second day at very early morning about 02,00am climb up the top of Rinjani as we call Summit . Than continue walking down to the lake and hot spring creek in the side of Segara anak lake. Than you will ascend up back to Sembalun rim.
Highlight : having sunset on the rim, sunrise on summit, spectacular views from peak of rinjani, relax time on the hot spring.
In this program you will stay one night at one of accommodations in Senaru Village before the trek begins. Than in the morning you will be transferred to Sembalun to start the trip. You will have a very great and spectacular views during your exploration along the way up to the mountain.
Detail Tour itinerary explanation
Day 01 : Senaru – Sembalun Village – Mt. Rinjani Sembalun Crater rim
Waking up at 06:00am and get breakfast and meet your guide. At 07:00 am our driver will transfer you to Sembalun village (Starting of the trek 1.156 m) for approximately time one hour from Senaru. Before starting the trek, your guide will register and arrange the entrance fee, briefing the details rubbish management conducted by Rinjani National Park in Sembalun and then next 10 minutes transfer back to the starting point.
You walk about 2,5 hours in quite flat open savanna view, crossing two dry river, small forest and you will see clearly the peak of Mount rinjani from the long distance as if it’s in front of you. You can take some of shorts break anywhere during the way up. When you reach Pos 2 or the stop break at Tengengan (1.500m), you will get lunch prepared by the porters and take a rest for a while before continue the journey.
The next trek trail from Pos 2 will be more steeper with some small hills along the way up to Pos 3 at Pada Balong (1.800m). The hardest trek about 3.5 hours will be started from Pos 3 up to camp site on the Sembalun crater rim (2.639m) with a bit deeper of the ravine. Once you reach the rim you will have a great sunset and amazing views from the rim. Than you will camp and having dinner here.
Day 2: Crater rim – The peak of rinjani (Summit) – The lake & Hot Spring
At 01,30am on the middle of night in early morning, it’s the time to wake up and prepare to climb the peak, getting the breakfast with hot tea or coffee than start to walk up. You will spend 3,5 hours climbing up the path. It’s the hardest one, you will climb up to summit in the small way, deep ravine at the left and right side of you. The way up will be getting harder because of the sleeper gravel.
Reaching the peak at 07-08.00am, depend on the your physical body or the level of fitness. Staring almost all lombok area from the peak. You also can see very clearly the mount Agung Bali, Sumbawa island and the most spectacular one is segara anak lake view.
About 45 minutes on the peak, you will walk down at the same path to the rim where you had camped before. Going down from the peak will be more easier as you can run faster and spend more short of the time, it’s about 2 hours down. You will have breakfast and taking a rest before continue walking down to explore the Segara anak lake and hot spring creek.
After all of that time, at the second day, continue to walk down following the mount side line to the Lake of Segara Anak (2.000m). Spending about 2.5 hours going down across the steep trail and stony path, there you can go to the creek of hot spring just a few meters from the main lake side. At the creek of the hot spring you can swim and lying down on the natural water that can healed some kinds of disease and therapy for body.
You will have lunch and relax time on the second day in the lake, than continue back walking up to Sembalun Crater rim that spend about three hours. We will camp at Pos 2 at the way down to sembalun village.
Day 3: Finish the trek
At about 07.00, after breakfast we will leave to Sembalun village where our driver waiting than transfer back to Senaru village taking all of your stuffs. After that driving you to your next destination at any places in Lombok
